Forgottten Range, is what has come to be referred to lately as a "Leisure Western"

The book "Forgotten Range", was originally released under the title: "The Forgotten Hills" in Western Story Magazine from Street and Smith in the year 1928 . Forgotten Range is the 2nd release of the full story. To be honest, it isn't a bad read at all if you ask me.

Basic Plot/Storyline

Roger Hartland hails from New York. He is led to travel to the Yellow Jacket Mine in Montana, in order to check on his investment. The story is then filled with adventure, romance, and danger. Far from the ivory halls, Roger and Fredericks, discover life in the west. Running a mine and sometimes having struggles with the local rednecks. This isn't exactly what Hartland expected. Proving the theory that Western people are made, not born that way, Roger adapts, and the path to finding out what and who he really wants from life begins to unfold in a fascinating manner.

I enjoyed this story heartlily, and know that i shall re-read it again one day, so thrilled was i reading it.
This 80 year old Western novel could have kept it's pace if it was written today. Even though the writing style is of a much earlier Era, this only serves to add to the quaintness factor.
